If you like violins and skulls you will definitely love this amazing Skull Violin by Mark Noll, a self-taught woodwork artist based in Florida.Â
Mark Noll and 11 other talented artists, was invited to turn an old violin into a piece of art which is going to be auctioned off to raise money for Cantebury School in Florida. The school purchased a dozen unusable violins. The Florida Craftsman Gallery asked artists to transform them into pieces of art. The violins will be auctioned at the Gallery and on the website. Bids will be taken from July 18th to August 23rd 2014. 100% of the money goes to buy instruments for the kids.

Here is Mark’s creation: This is all carved from the original violin except the tuning pegs.
2020 Update: Mark had so much positive feedback and so many requests, that he decided to make it again, to order. The violin will be very similar, but every carving is unique. This is a piece of art meant for ornamental purposes only and it’s not a functional violin for playing.
$ 4,800.00 – expensive but worth the money!
